I wonder if the CCTV report went something like this - “the recent civil events in Hong Kong have reached a resolution, a presidential commission has been established to investigate. And now, a 1 hour special about America’s riot problems in Ferguson and other of their lawless cities run by gangsters."

The exact same thing happened to the Anti-Sedition / National Security legislation in 2003. Suspended.....still not reactivated 16 years later
