Now that the drama has died down, let’s take a look at some of the ways cars were used to help proteste rs set up more generous perimeters before police got a chance to corral them into smaller areas:

As long as they aren’t running people over with tanks  I think we’re gtg. Although it’ll be interesting to see how many people disappear within the next few weeks.

One person fell to his death while trying to hang a banner, some time after the crowds had dispersed.

Best use of G’ Wagens ever.

Honestly though....Hong Kong is a mere practice scenario for Taipei. And if the mainland continues to think  that every punter in either locale is just another peasant...this is not going to end well.

I wonder if the CCTV report went something like this - “the recent civil events in Hong Kong have reached a resolution, a presidential commission has been established to investigate. And now, a 1 hour special about America’s riot problems in Ferguson and other of their lawless cities run by gangsters."

And they’re still “ threatening” to reinstate the bill process...

Seems like they took a page out of the American playbook too, they're hiding the Lantau Island reclamation agenda behind this mess.

Mainland news has largely ignored these events, although the HKMAO office has publicly expressed “ understanding and support” in the recent “concern of the broader society” in HK.

That sounds pleasantly euphemistic.

The exact same thing happened to the Anti-Sedition / National Security legislation in 2003.  Suspended.....still not reactivated 16 years later
